no Ritmo da Capoeira • Brazilian Festival 2012 • 27, 28, 29 April
This year we are hosting our festival in Southend, Essex. The festivities will offically start on Friday 27th April and continue through till Sunday 29th April. The week running up to the festival will also be full of special classes getting us all ready for the main event!
There will be special workshops in; Capoeira, Maculele, Acrobatics, Dance, Percussion and Rodas. For all ages and all levels. As part of the festival we will also have our ‘Batizado’ and ‘Troca de corda’. The batizado is an offical welcome to all our new students where you will receive your first cord! The troca de corda is to recognise those students who have been training hard and will be advancing to the next cord.
We will be welcoming many special guests to our festival and students from other groups in the UK, Brazil and Europe.
There will be traditional food available to purchase, dinner after the workshops, party, plus accommodation for those coming from outside of Southend. You will need to bring a sleeping bag.

This the most important event of our year, promoting Brazilian culture to the public and also opening its doors for everyone to come and participate in all the various workshops that we will be presenting.
