Grupo Capoeira Brasil was formed on January 14, 1989 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Under the supervision of its three founding Mestres, Mestre Paulao Ceara, Mestre Boneco and Mestre Paulinho Sabia. Grupo Capoeira Brasil is today one of the most highly recognised groups in the world. Currently, there are greatly respected and qualified Mestres, Contra Mestres, Professors and Instructors teaching throughout Brazil, other parts of South America, Asia, Europe, the United States, Africa and Australia.What makes Capoeira Brasil such a successful group is the close ties of Mestres and Instructors to each other and the group itself.
